Cafe del Maar in Schalkenmehren

Absolutely awful. The chef also uses his tarte flambée batter for his pizzas. Then he claims his day was self-made, maybe Sellbst bought it. So eating pizza is a disaster. The dough was totally biscuitous.

Hosts and the whole team, Friendly, attentive and courteous. The food was delicious. The rooms are very comfortably furnished. Very clean. The breakfast left nothing to be desired. Everything fresh and tasty. We really enjoyed our 1 week stay in Eifellust and our dinner visits at Café del Maar. We will be back. No question. The "Franconian Girls"

Friendly welcome from a Dutch-speaking owner. He makes delicious sorbets and delicious pastries.

We spent a few very nice days here and can warmly recommend the hotel and the food here. The location is ideal for trips to the Eifel as well as to the Moselle.

Delicious cake, good coffee, unfortunately the staff was a bit overwhelmed, although it wasn't that full (long waiting times, cake came when the coffee was almost empty). But with every coffee there was a mini ice cream, very, very sweet and delicious (vanilla type)

Full of the nice place to eat, drink coffee etc. We had espresso macchiato and ice cream sundaes etc. and there was a tiny vanilla ice cream with the coffee things on a small holder on the cup ... very nice. The toilets were clean and there was a nice feature here too, there were small dry towels on a nice vanity. Thank you for letting us be there. However, some guests waited a long time to be let in - in front of the terrace, which was noticed a little late, but the guests were very patient.

Surprisingly good food. I would not have expected such a touristic place. Great pizza, perfect edge. The citizen looked great too. Drinks sometimes took a bit long but that wasn't so bad.

Food super delicious and the owner very nice. We got a little surprise at our café. The food was very tasty. Card payment is not a problem

Service was poor

After initial difficulties - we waited for our beer for over 30 minutes on our first visit - we were really satisfied on the second and third visits: whether ice cream, coffee, apple strudel or pizza in the evening. Everything really good quality, freshly prepared and served very friendly. And the best beer was also there on our Eiffel tour: 0.5 l bit in an ice-cooled clay jug. For this idea alone, 5 stars are absolutely justified! We would love to come back anytime ...

That was really nice for you. Cozy atmosphere (inside & outside), nice host & great service & nice boss motorcycle;), delicious pizza (I couldn't try more, I'm working on it). We will definitely be back :)

We were there for dinner yesterday. The selection is not large, but freshly prepared and delicious. The service is friendly and the choice of drinks is okay. The ambience is very playful with a lot of decoration, but has something. Dogs are allowed. All in all recommendable.

In the beautiful Eifel town of Schalkenmeren is this charming café, where you can also have a good dinner. The owner is very knowledgeable in the area and gives many helpful information for hikers and geology-interested. There is also a hotel to the cafe
